Since its inception in 1981, our Washington office has represented domestic and foreign clients and individuals before federal regulatory agencies, law enforcement, and in complex civil litigation. Our Washington office helps our clients navigate the thorniest regulatory and litigation challenges they face, often involving the highest legal and reputational stakes.
Our attorneys are widely recognized as the leading practitioners in their fields. They combine deep technical knowledge and experience in a broad range of subject matter areas with service at the highest levels of the federal government. Attorneys in the office have held senior legal positions in the White House, Treasury, Securities and Exchange Commission, the Department of Justice, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and the Federal Communications Commission.
Our Washington office also maintains a strong commitment to community service through a range of projects and initiatives, including the Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP Greater DC Community Foundation, which was established to provide the Firm’s Washington DC attorneys and staff an opportunity to work together to enhance the impact of individual charitable contributions and volunteer efforts. The Foundation’s mission is to support non-profit organizations that provide educational enrichment programs for underserved youth in the Greater Washington Area.
