New York : Summer Associates : Hiring Process

Each fall, Willkie visits law schools throughout the country to interview second-year students for summer associate positions.

The recruiting process usually begins with an on-campus interview with a Willkie partner.  Candidates are then invited back to our offices to visit with more attorneys, at which point they will typically interview with a combination of partners and associates.  We view this process as not only giving Willkie a chance to evaluate each candidate, but also providing candidates with an opportunity to evaluate us.  We understand that, as a law student, you are faced with many tough decisions when choosing a law firm, and our goal is to find the right match for each of us.  To this end, we provide interested candidates with the open invitation to speak or visit with more associates and/or partners after their initial office visit.

To view our 2012 On-Campus Interview Schedule click here.  Please speak with your career services office for information on how to obtain an on-campus interview.  If you are not able to schedule an interview please feel free to drop off your resume and transcript to one of the attorneys interviewing on your campus.

If we are not scheduled to visit your campus please send your resume and transcript to , and please do not hesitate to contact a member of our department with any questions that you may have.  Please click here for a complete list of Legal Personnel & Recruiting contacts in the New York office.

VICTORIA ROSALES...

From my initial interview on campus to my call-back interviews, what really stood out to me about Willkie in comparison to the other firms was how friendly and approachable everyone was. I’m glad that this impression was realized throughout my summer.
