Each summer associate is paired with a partner and an associate in practice areas of his or her choice for two or three week rotations throughout the summer.  The first rotation is determined by preferences indicated by the summer associate prior to the start of the program.  All other rotations are determined after the summer associate arrives in order to maintain flexibility.  We understand that your interests may change during the course of the summer and our program is designed to adapt to those changing interests.  In addition, while we expect that most summer associates will want to sample many of our different practice areas, we will accommodate those who are committed to one particular practice area. Summers are exposed to interesting and challenging work and typically are assigned projects similar to that of a entry-level attorney. These assignments include writing briefs, client memoranda and motions, deposition preparation, drafting documents and performing "due diligence" related to corporate transactions.
