Willkie was among a small group of honorees recognized at the 2013 IFLR Europe Awards in the category of “Private Equity Deal of the Year.” The Willkie deal team was acknowledged specifically for its representation of AXA Private Equity in the sale of its majority stake in Home Shopping Europe (HSE24), the international TV home shopping group, to media investor Providence Equity Partners. Willkie was also once again shortlisted for “Private Equity Team of the Year” (Europe).
The Willkie team was led by partner Mario Schmidt and included partner Dr. Stefan Joergens, national partners Jan Wilms, Rolf Huenermann and Dr. Octávio de Sousa and associates Dr. Maximilian Schwab, Daniel Zakrzewski, Mario Bammann, Tobias Daubert, Marco Müller and Christian Stoehr.
