Russell L. Leaf is a partner in the Corporate & Financial Services Department of Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP in New York. Russell focuses on private equity, public and private mergers and acquisitions (including asset management related transactions and bankruptcy-based asset sales), corporate finance, venture capital, and general corporate and securities law.

- CMA CGM in the sale to the EQT Infrastructure III fund of a 90 percent stake in APL Limited, whose wholly owned subsidiary, Eagle Marine Services, Ltd., operates Global Gateway South, a leading container terminal in the Port of Los Angeles
- Sarissa Capital Management, the largest shareholder of ARIAD Pharmaceuticals, in connection with ARIAD’s agreement to be acquired by Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited for approximately $5.2 billion
- Aralez Pharmaceuticals in its acquisition of the U.S. rights to beta-blocker Toprol-XL® from AstraZeneca
- Aralez Pharmaceuticals in its acquisition of the U.S. and Canadian rights to cardiovascular drug Zontivity from Merck
