Willkie represents Frontline Education in its agreement to be acquired by private equity firm Thoma Bravo, with Insight Venture Partners retaining a minority stake in the company.

On August 4, Willkie client Frontline Education, an integrated insights partner serving more than 12,000 educational organizations across America, announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by private equity firm Thoma Bravo. Insight Venture Partners, a prior investor in Frontline Education, will retain a minority stake in the company.

Frontline Education, with its awarding-winning administrative and HR software solutions, serves more than 12,000 educational organizations across America and enables them to make evidenced-based decisions that drive better outcomes for both educators and students. Across North America, major educational organizations rely on Frontline Education’s trusted solutions, with more than 5 million education employees and 1.2 million substitutes logging into its systems on a daily basis.

The Willkie deal team was led by partners Gordon Caplan and Matthew Guercio, and included partners Hillel Jacobson and Michael Katz, counsel Spencer Simon, associates Christopher Edwab, Stephanie Moran, Guy Inbar, Isabel Araujo, Brandon Coyle, and law clerk Tai Fukumoto.
