Willkie represented Ardian, a leading independent investment company, in the financing of its acquisition of imes-icore GmbH.

On August 2, Willkie client Ardian, a leading independent investment company, announced the acquisition of imes-icore GmbH, a specialist manufacturer of computer numerical control (CNC) and computer aided design/manufacturing (CAD/CAM) systems predominantly focusing on the medical industry, and headquartered in Eiterfeld, Germany. imes-icore’s main competency lies in machine systems for the automated production of dentures such as dental caps and bridges, implant superstructures or prostheses. The company’s products are used in dental laboratories, clinics and dental milling centers. imes-icore also offers specialized industrial production solutions for numerous industries such as jewelry, orthopedic and automotive sectors as well as for model/mold construction.

With the support of Ardian, imes-icore plans to expand both through organic growth and strategic add-on acquisitions.

imes-icore employs approximately 150 people and in 2016 generated a turnover of approximately EUR 30 million.

The deal was handled by a Willkie Finance team consisting of Jan Wilms as lead partner and associate Laura Pfirrmann.
