Willkie recently advised Bpifrance on the fundraising of the Digital Fund of Fund. This investment fund, which raised €140 million, is an open-innovation tool and is intended to develop a real-time international and operational monitoring system of the startup ecosystem. It will invest in capital-innovation funds (from pre-start to growth) in the digital transformation, in “Smart City” and in FinTech in Europe, in the U.S. and in Asia.
Willkie recently advised Bpifrance, the state-owned French bank, in its €1.92 billion acquisition of a stake in French automaker Peugeot SA, and in connection with Vallourec’s €1 billion equity fundraising in 2016.
The Willkie team on the current deal was led by partner Nathalie Duguay with the assistance of associate Nicolas Capelli.
