The aggregate offering comprises four transactions.
Willkie recently represented The Metropolitan Life Insurance Company on its issuance of $2 billion aggregate principal amount of funding agreement-backed notes. The offerings consist of:
- $750 Million of 1.950% Fixed Rate Notes due 2021
- $550 Million of 1.350% Fixed Rate Notes due 2018
- $350 Million of Floating Rate Notes due 2018
- $350 Million of 1.550% Fixed Rate Notes due 2019
The offerings were led by partners John Schwolsky and Benjamin Nixon, associates Dunia Rkein and Danielle Thomasma, and law clerk Justin Sommerkamp. Senior counsel Donald Henderson and associate Marisa Matays advised on regulatory matters, counsel Catherine Harrington provided tax advice and counsel Cindy Chernuchin advised on security interest matters.
