Willkie advises Insight in connection with the $250 million funding round, one of the largest completed for a private security company.

On November 10, Tenable Network Security, Inc. announced a $250 million Series B funding round led by Willkie client Insight Venture Partners and Accel. One of the largest funding rounds completed for a private security company, the investment will help accelerate development of Tenable’s next-generation cyber security software.

Tenable provides continuous network monitoring to identify vulnerabilities, reduce risk, ensure compliance and respond to threats. Its solutions are relied upon by many of the world’s largest corporations, not-for-profit organizations and public sector agencies, including the entire U.S. Department of Defense.

Insight Venture Partners is a leading global venture capital and private equity firm investing in high-growth technology and software companies that are driving transformative change in their industries.

The Willkie deal team was led by partners Gordon Caplan and Matthew Guercio and included partners Michael Katz and Hillel Jacobson; special counsel Jonathan Konoff; associates Robert Rizzo, Thomas Spencer, Amir Ghavi, Dorna Mohaghegh, Rose Ohanesian, Kapiljeet Dargan, Daniel Bumpus and Brenna Sparks; and law clerks Iliana Djagova and Ransel Potter.
