Riverstone portfolio company Proserv acquired Nautronix, a leader in the supply of subsea communications services to the oil and gas industry.

Willkie represented Riverstone Holdings and one of its portfolio companies, Proserv Group LLC, in connection with Proserv’s acquisition of Nautronix Group Limited (and its subsidiaries), which designs and supplies advanced underwater communications systems from its headquarters in Aberdeen, Scotland. As part of the transaction, Nautronix chief operating officer Mark Patterson joined the Proserv management team.

The transaction is Proserv’s first bolt-on acquisition following Riverstone’s acquisition of Proserv from private equity firm Intervale Capital in December 2014. Willkie advised Riverstone in that matter.

Proserv is an integrated energy services company working with clients to meet their subsea, drilling and production challenges. Riverstone is an energy and power-focused private investment firm founded in 2000 with over $30 billion of equity capital raised.

The recent matter was led by partners Bruce Herzog and Matthew Dean and included partners Judith Harger and Hillel Jacobson, and associates James Tannock, Shinasa Wasimi and Robert Rizzo.
