Under the proposed transaction, leading European private equity firm PAI Partners will hold a majority stake in leading French retirement and nursing home company DomusVi along with the company's founder, Yves Journel.

Willkie client PAI Partners, a leading European private equity firm, recently announced the acquisition of DomusVi, a leading French retirement and nursing home company.  Under the proposed transaction, PAI will hold a majority stake along with the company’s founder, Yves Journel, who will re-invest in the new share structure via DV Holding.  With more than 15,000 beds, DomusVi reported revenue of €647 ($881 million) million in 2013.

In recent weeks, the firm advised PAI in its significant investments in French gourmet food producer Labeyrie Fine Foods and in EMG, Europe’s leading provider of audiovisual facilities and services.

The current deal was handled by a team led by corporate partner Eduardo Fernandez and including: Corporate –  associates Gil Kiener, Delphin Boucher and Hugo Nocerino; Administrative Law – national partner Vincent Brenot and associate Emilie Patoux;  Antitrust –  partner David Tayar and associate Alice Guérin and Financing – national partner Paul Lombard.
