Insight Venture Partners invests $250 million in leading global maker of software for email-marketing pitches.

On April 16, it was announced that Willkie client Insight Venture Partners has invested $250 million in Campaign Monitor, a global leader in SaaS-based email marketing and design solutions. This investment is expected to support continued product innovation and accelerated global expansion. Sydney-based Campaign Monitor has been profitable every quarter since its founding in 2004 with consistently growing sales. More than 100,000 paying customers in 170 countries rely on Campaign Monitor to manage their email marketing.

New York-based Insight Venture Partners is a leading global private equity and venture capital firm investing in software, Internet, and data-services companies. Since its founding in 1995, Insight has raised more than $7.6 billion and made more than 190 investments worldwide. Willkie has represented Insight in a host of transactions including most recently the $1.54 billion sale of AirWatch, the $6.9 billion consortium acquisition of BMC Software and the closing of Insight Venture Partners VIII, a $2.57 billion private equity fund.
