Insight provides major investment in Unitrends, the leading provider of all-in-one backup, archiving, instant recovery and disaster recovery solutions.
On October 31, it was announced that Unitrends, the leading provider of all-in-one backup, archiving, instant recovery and disaster recovery solutions, received a major growth equity investment from Willkie client Insight Venture Partners. The investment will allow Columbia, SC-based Unitrends to continue building upon its recent record growth.
Since its founding in 1995, New York-based Insight has raised more than $7.6 billion and invested in more than 190 growth-stage software, eCommerce, internet, and data-services companies. Willkie has represented Insight in a host of transactions including most recently the $6.9 billion consortium acquisition of BMC Software, the closing of Insight Venture Partners VIII (a new $2.57 billion private equity fund) and the acquisition of Kaseya Software Ltd.
The current deal was handled by partners Gordon Caplan, Matthew Guercio, Hillel Jacobson and Jordan Messinger, and associates Matthew Haddad, Evan Goodman, Meghan Hungate, DJ Stauber and Rose Ohanesian.
