Chicago-based Veritas Steel LLC acquires assets from PDM Bridge, LLC, a steel fabricator that produces steel components for the largest and most complex bridge structures.

On November 5, Veritas Steel LLC, a newly formed portfolio company of Willkie client Atlas Holdings, announced that it has acquired certain assets of PDM Bridge, LLC, a steel fabricator that produces steel components for the largest and most complex bridge structures. Veritas Steel, which will be based in Chicago, will operate three fabrication plants located in Eau Claire, Wisconsin; Wausau, Wisconsin; and Palatka, Florida. These plants are in geographically strategic locations providing Veritas with significant reach across several U.S. regions to competitively bid on complex jobs.

Based in Greenwich, Connecticut, Atlas Holdings LLC is an industrial holding company that employs approximately 10,000 people at more than ninety facilities worldwide. Atlas operates in a number of industrial sectors, including building materials, energy, capital equipment, steel mill services, wood products, pulp and paper and packaging.

The deal was handled by a multidisciplinary Willkie team including partners Mark Getachew, John Longmire, Christopher Peters, Jeffrey Goldfarb, Jordan Messinger and Eugene Chang; of counsel William Thomas; special counsel Cindy Chernuchin and associates Michael Jackowitz, Penny Jensen, Marc Palladino, Rose Ohanesian, Meghan Hungate, Jonathan Kubek, Marisa Matays, Anne Barrett and Darlyn Heckman.
