Law 360 Names Russell Leaf a 2012 “Rising Star”

Mr. Leaf is one of only five attorneys nationwide to be named "Rising Star" in the area of Private Equity.

Partner Russell Leaf was profiled as part of Law360’s "Rising Stars" series, which features top legal talent under 40. After a formal nomination and selection process conducted by a team of eight Law 360 editors, involving more than 1000 candidates, Mr. Leaf was one of only five attorneys nationwide to be named "Rising Star" in the area of Private Equity. Law360 notes that "winners were based on the strength of their accomplishments in their respective practice groups thus far in their careers."

The profile, published on April 10, praises Mr. Leaf for having "adapted quickly to the changing world of private equity over the past decade, gaining the trust of industry power players." Law360 highlights that Mr. Leaf "led Willkie's team in representing Warburg Pincus LLC in its buyout of industrial safety service company Total Safety U.S. Inc., K1 Ventures Ltd. in its $100 million investment in Guggenheim Partners, and AREA Property Partners in National Australia Bank Ltd.'s acquisition of a 35 percent stake in the firm, among other significant deals."
