Arkema announces planned acquisition of the Coatings Resins (Cray Valley and Cook Composite Polymers) and Photocure Resins (Sartomer) businesses of Total SA.

On December 7, Willkie client Arkema, France’s leading chemicals producer, announced its planned acquisition of the Coatings Resins (Cray Valley and Cook Composite Polymers) and Photocure Resins (Sartomer) businesses of Total SA for €550 million. These activities generated sales of about €850 million and involve approximately 1750 employees at 20 sites around the world. Arkema is a world-class producer of industrial chemicals with annual sales of €4.4 billion, 13,800 employees, 80 industrial sites in more than 40 countries, and six research and development centers.
