Milan

Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP’s Milan office considers candidates for positions as associates and practicante that have completed their legal studies in Italy and are admitted or about to be admitted to practice law in Italy as avvocati.  We seek lawyers who are dynamic, hard-working, committed to excellence, dedicated and able to deliver work of the highest quality and caliber.  We believe that strong academic achievements in legal studies are essential (i.e., those who have graduated with the highest marks 110/110 or equivalent).  In addition, we look favorably on applicants that have a strong interest and basic experience in one or more of our practice areas.

Many of our attorneys hold an LL.M. from U.S. or British law schools.  Occasionally, the Milan office also hires lawyers who have completed their formal legal training in other countries, such as Germany or the United States.

LL.M. Candidates

Representatives of the Italian offices regularly interview LL.M. students at the New York University International Student Interview Program and the Columbia Overseas-Trained LL.M. Student Interview Program held every January in New York and candidates recruited through these programs begin their careers at the firm as associates in one of the Italian offices upon completion of their LL.M. studies.

New York Office rotation

The firm encourages associate mobility between its various offices and in particular, each year, the Italian offices offers selected associates the opportunity of rotating to the New York office for one year.
